Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Customer Experience Architect at arenaflex, you will serve as a technical authority for the Discovery contract teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining and architecting products, algorithms, and data systems that are fundamental to the customer experience. This role requires a unique blend of technical excellence, strategic thinking, and cross-functional leadership.
- Architectural Leadership: Act as the principal technical designer for teams within the Discovery contract, ensuring the quality of architecture and system design across all initiatives.
- Problem Decomposition: Effectively break down complex technical challenges into simple, straightforward solutions that can be implemented efficiently.
- Technical Roadmap Development: Develop comprehensive technical guides, define future architectural directions, and strategize technological advancements for the team.
- Data Quality & Analytics: Analyze and improve data quality and metrics to ensure accurate insights that drive decision-making.
- System Interdependencies: Thoroughly understand and document system interdependencies and constraints to prevent integration issues.
- Industry Research: Leverage both internal and industry knowledge to make informed design decisions that keep arenaflex competitive.
- Technical Influence: Apply technical leadership across a team of 50+ colleagues, enhancing their productivity and effectiveness through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
- Mentorship & Coaching: Coach team members on advanced technical topics for their professional growth and career advancement.
Skills and Competencies for Success
We are looking for a candidate who brings a wealth of experience in building large-scale, distributed systems and has a proven track record of delivering high-impact technical solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for innovation.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of experience building massive scalable systems that serve millions of users.
- Programming Expertise: Strong background with hands-on experience as a senior software development engineer, proficient in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Distributed Systems: Solid knowledge of distributed systems architecture, including microservices, containerization, and cloud-native development.
- Data Storage Solutions: Expertise in datastores including both SQL and NoSQL databases, with the ability to select the right technology based on specific requirements.
- Data Structures & Algorithms: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization techniques.
- Analytical Thinking: Excellent analytical abilities to approach complex problems methodically and develop innovative solutions.
- Cross-Functional Technical Direction: Ability to provide technical guidance across backend, frontend, and machine learning technologies.

- Domain Expertise: Experience in machine learning, data science, or search technologies in B2C environments (e-commerce, OTT/streaming platforms) is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the streaming media industry and understanding of content recommendation challenges.

Compensation & Benefits
arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package that recognizes your expertise and contributions. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
