Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for executing medical service methodologies, driving patient wellbeing results, and ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services.
This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation at $27 per hour, with the flexibility of remote work. You will be responsible for executing against established pharmacy programs, driving pharmacy financial performance through strategic initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with clinical communities. Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacist on our Centralized Services team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional clinical pharmacy services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Care Program Execution: Implement direct patient care programs, including Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will ensure these programs are delivered effectively to improve patient health outcomes.
- Clinical Pharmacy Operations: Drive the execution of various policies and operations to ensure business needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care. This includes managing prescription processing from a remote setting with accuracy and efficiency.
- Compliance and Quality Improvement: Lead compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services. This involves studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes to enhance quality.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines. Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
- Financial Performance: Drive local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs that maximize financial performance while improving patient outcomes.
- Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts to improve patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or wellness services such as vaccinations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
- Team Support and Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacy staff and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities while promoting collaboration and fostering a shared vision aligned with company values.
- Clinical Reviews and Accuracy: Conduct data and clinical reviews to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication therapy, providing individualized patient and provider consultation.
- Patient Communication: Through superior interpersonal skills, earn the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy issues. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in every interaction.
- Feedback and Program Evaluation: Provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of client retention programs, incorporating patient comments as the value of individual consultations to improve service delivery.
- Clinical Advisory: Serve as the clinical expert for all inquiries, discussions, and issues directly relating to patient treatment. Provide clinical advice and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
- General Duties: Perform other work consistent with the job duties as assigned by management, observing all guidelines and procedures to meet organizational goals.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. You must be eligible to practice pharmacy in the state of Oregon (Portland location).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Experience inspiring colleagues to research and resolve issues effectively. You should be comfortable analyzing complex clinical scenarios and developing appropriate solutions.
- Confidentiality: Experience working with sensitive and confidential information, maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
- Flexibility: Ability to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends, as business needs require.
- Time Management: Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details, while meeting deadlines for various projects with varying completion dates.
- Independent Work Style: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision. You should be self-motivated and able to complete objectives independently, knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
- Customer Service Orientation: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Travel Capability: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state) when required.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Multi-State Licensing: Willingness to obtain additional state pharmacy licenses if required. Experience with multi-state pharmacy operations is highly valued.
- Insurance Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance plans, including pharmacy benefit management, billing procedures, and reimbursement structures.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of computer operating systems, including Radio, Commitment, and Plus platforms.
- Microsoft Excel Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
- Microsoft PowerPoint Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list levels, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show).
- Microsoft Word Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and paragraph width, formatting, inserting shots, images and dates, using find and replace, repair, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities).
