What You'll Do
As a Product Data Researcher at arenaflex, you will work closely with Product and Engineering teams throughout the entire development cycle to help build exceptional products enjoyed by clients globally. Your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that blend technical expertise with strategic thinking:
- Define, own, and refine product success metrics: Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and Engineering to develop comprehensive metric frameworks that link directly to business outcomes and user success.
- Report, track, and analyze key metrics: Monitor critical product functionalities, assess their business impact, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy: Work with Engineering teams to identify and address instrumentation gaps, ensuring accurate data collection for key functionalities with a focus on business-generating customer journeys.
- Influence product strategy: Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to prioritize and guide product direction. Apply technical expertise and empirical data analysis to address critical business questions.
- Communicate insights effectively: Deliver compelling presentations of data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels, translating complex findings into clear, actionable guidance.
- Lead proactive investigations: Conduct independent research to identify and quantify new opportunities, uncovering patterns and trends that inform product development.
- Design and analyze experiments: Measure the causal effects of product changes through rigorous A/B testing and statistical modeling, providing evidence-based recommendations.
- Democratize data access: Develop dashboards and precise reporting mechanisms that make data accessible to teams throughout the organization.
Who We're Looking For
We seek a talented individual who combines strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and passionate about using data to solve complex problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- A four-year degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Science, Engineering, Physical Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Three years of experience in analysis applications (e.g., extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems) and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Demonstrated ability to apply statistical reasoning to real-world data challenges.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with experimental design, machine learning, data analysis, survey design, and statistical modeling.
- Background in strategic analysis or project management support (e.g., consulting, management reporting, Six Sigma certification).
- Proven track record of completing projects independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience analyzing large datasets and drawing actionable conclusions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
