Join Our Choice Science Team
Choice Science partners serve as critical members of the Credit and Fraud Risk organization at arenaflex. We are seeking a thought leader and problem solver who can blend business, technical, and industry best practices in developing the analyses, models, and algorithms that power our clients' digital experiences.
This essential team is responsible for managing enterprise risks throughout the customer lifecycle, across our consumer and business networks, and across all of our global products. We develop industry-first data capabilities, build decision-making frameworks, create AI-powered predictive models, and improve client servicing strategies.
Our Choice Science teams use industry-leading modeling and AI practices to predict client behavior. We develop, deploy, and validate predictive models and support the use of models in financial logic to enable efficient decisions across credit, fraud, marketing, and servicing optimization engines.
Key Responsibilities
As a Manager of Data Science at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how we serve our customers through data-driven insights and innovative machine learning solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Work with Advanced Data Platforms: Handle massive amounts of digital data (Web, Application, API) and cutting-edge tools in an industry-leading Big Data environment.
- Build NLP-Driven Solutions: Develop Natural Language Processing solutions from identifying business problems, to gathering training datasets, to analyzing data, to modeling, to validating, and to deploying NLP models.
- Develop Machine Learning Models: Build everything from basic reports to advanced AI models and algorithms to drive improvements to our client's online and mobile application experiences.
- Collaborate with Product Teams: Work with product owners to transform product and content design using a data-driven approach.
- Partner with Technology Teams: Collaborate with technology partners to test, implement, and deploy modeling solutions for production systems.
- Generate Actionable Insights: Form insights into customer behavior and introduce new methodologies to transform complex behavioral data into meaningful information.
- Leverage Organizational Data: Harness the power of closed-loop feedback through the arenaflex organization to make decisions more intelligent and relevant.
- Continuous Innovation: Improve with a focus on developing fresher and better methodologies using big data and AI solutions.
Essential Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who bring a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to our team. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Advanced Education: Masters/PhDs in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, etc.) with hands-on experience using state-of-the-art analytical and AI techniques.
- NLP Expertise: PhD degree with practical experiences in Natural Language Processing is a significant plus.
- Programming Proficiency: Expertise in analytical languages (Python, R or similar), and experience with databases (Hive, SQL, or similar). Knowledge of SAS is a plus but not required.
- Machine Learning Knowledge: Deep understanding of AI/statistical algorithms including deep learning and supporting methodologies. Experience with data visualization is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to approach business problems into mathematical programming issues, leverage outside thinking and tools (from academia and/or other industries) to design solutions and deliver business insights.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-Motivation: Independent thinker who's organized, has great attention to detail, and can multitask.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
