What You'll Do
As a Data Scientist at arenaflex Global Tech, you'll be tasked with some of the most challenging and rewarding problems in retail analytics. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions that impact business operations across our global enterprise. Here's what your role entails:
- Lead analytical research and modeling initiatives by selecting the most appropriate techniques for both structured and unstructured, complex datasets. You'll develop custom analysis models that generate actionable insights driving value for our customers while creating competitive advantages for our organization.
- Collaborate with our expert data engineering team to gather the right information from diverse sources. You'll implement advanced statistical techniques and design interventions that optimize how our business performs.
- Conduct exploratory research including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and predictive/prescriptive analytics. You'll translate complex statistical findings into clear, business-ready recommendations.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate challenging retail business problems into sophisticated data science solutions that deliver measurable results.
- Develop processes and tools that monitor, analyze, and continuously improve model performance and data accuracy across the organization.
- Apply cutting-edge data science techniques including artificial intelligence and machine learning in a dynamic, engaging environment where no two days are alike.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for curious, innovative thinkers who constantly seek opportunities to improve and evolve data science solutions. The ideal candidate brings:
- Seven years of experience in data science, machine learning, optimization models, or a related field.
- Proven ability as a full-stack data scientist who can develop, enhance, and scale models for production environments.
- Expertise in statistical methods and advanced modeling techniques including SVM, Random Forest, Bayesian inference, graph models, NLP, computer vision, and neural networks.
- Proficiency in programming languages for data manipulation and insight extraction from large datasets (Python, R, SQL, etc.).
- Experience with database technologies and distributed datastores including SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spark, Hive, and TensorFlow.
- A passion for quality with consistently high standards and the courage to fail fast and learn quickly.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect the "how" and "why," using theoretical knowledge to derive practical, reason-backed approaches.
Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience in analytics or a related field.
Option 2: Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Option 3: 4 years of experience in analytics or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Econometrics.
- Professional certifications or successful completion of assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
- Experience with open-source frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or LightGBM.
- Background in retail analytics or consumer-facing business analytics.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies.
