Role Overview: Solutions Engineer - Live Chat and General Support
As a Solutions Engineer at arenaflex, you will serve as the technical backbone of our sales and customer success teams. Your primary responsibility is to act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, helping them navigate the complexities of custom manufacturing and identifying the best solutions to their unique challenges. You'll leverage your engineering expertise and industry knowledge to demonstrate the power of arenaflex's technology platform while building lasting relationships with clients across North America.
This role requires a blend of technical acumen, communication skills, and business acumen. You'll work closely with our Sales team to drive revenue growth by presenting tailored solutions that address real business problems. Your ability to understand customer needs, translate them into technical requirements, and propose innovative solutions will be critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities
As a Solutions Engineer at arenaflex, you will:
- Conduct Discovery Meetings: Lead insightful conversations with prospects and customers to uncover their business objectives, technical requirements, and pain points. Your ability to ask the right questions and listen actively will help you gather the information needed to propose optimal solutions.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Answer customer questions regarding Design for Manufacturing (DFx) principles and arenaflex's comprehensive manufacturing capabilities. You'll serve as the go-to resource for technical guidance, ensuring customers understand the capabilities and limitations of various manufacturing processes.
- Consult on Application Opportunities: Work closely with prospects and customers to identify innovative applications of arenaflex's technology platform. You'll help them see beyond traditional manufacturing constraints and explore new possibilities for their products.
- Deliver Compelling Demonstrations: Showcase arenaflex's capabilities, including our state-of-the-art software quoting platform, through live demonstrations and presentations. Your presentation skills will inspire confidence and drive adoption of our solutions.
- Support Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with our marketing team by providing valuable feedback and creating content for collateral, case studies, and thought leadership materials. You'll help position arenaflex as an industry authority.
- Thought Leadership: Represent arenaflex at industry events, conferences, and webinars. Share your expertise, network with peers, and elevate arenaflex's brand presence in the manufacturing community.
- Live Chat and General Support: Provide responsive technical support through live chat channels, addressing customer inquiries in real-time and ensuring a seamless experience throughout their buying journey.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- 3-5+ Years of Experience: Demonstrated experience in an engineering or technical field, with a track record of solving complex problems and delivering results.
- Educational Background: An engineering degree (mechanical engineering preferred) or a related technical degree that has equipped you with the foundational knowledge to understand manufacturing processes.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes across multiple industries, including but not limited to CNC machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Technical Communication: Comfort with technical discussions and the ability to deliver executive-level presentations with confidence and clarity.
- Solution Development: Experience preparing technical solutions for business proposals, including scoping, pricing, and timeline estimation.
- CAD Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CAD software, enabling you to review designs, provide feedback, and communicate effectively with engineers and designers.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet with customers, attend events, and participate in on-site consultations.
- Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen, legal resident, or possess a valid work visa.
