The UBDS group is seeking an experienced Technology Procurement Manager to support a major public sector client through a period of significant digital transformation and procurement activity.
This role will provide leadership and oversight to ensure continuity, maintain delivery capacity, and support the successful execution of a complex portfolio of high-value, high-risk technology procurements.
The successful candidates will operate at the intersection of commercial delivery, supplier management, and service governance. They will play a key role in ensuring that technology services are procured, onboarded, transitioned, and governed in a controlled, compliant, and operationally effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end technology procurement activities across a portfolio of complex programmes
- Manage procurement lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations and internal governance frameworks
- Support supplier onboarding, transition, and exit activities, ensuring minimal operational disruption
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with service design and operational requirements
- Ensure all procured services are operable, auditable, and aligned with service management principles from inception
- Provide commercial assurance and risk management across multiple concurrent procurements
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations, timelines, and delivery outcomes
- Contribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of procurement processes and best practice
- Support governance, reporting, and audit activities across the procurement function
- Mitigate risks associated with supplier dependency, transition complexity, and service continuity
