THE ROLE
The Senior Consultant, Health & Welfare Benefits supports PBGH’s mission to advance high-value, affordable, and equitable health care by delivering independent, purchaser-focused advisory services to employers and other health care purchasers. Serving as a strategic advisor—not a broker—this role provides objective analysis, market insight, and evidence-based guidance to support employer’s fiduciary decision-making across the health and welfare benefits lifecycle.

Working closely with PBGH senior leaders and subject-matter experts, the Senior Consultant is responsible for executing and managing day-to-day advisory engagements, producing rigorous, insight-driven analyses and recommendations, contributing to solution development, translating complex health data into actionable strategies for employers and helping shape purchaser-relevant insights that can scale across PBGH’s employer community.

This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical depth, comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits, well-established relationships with employers and the health markets, and polished client-ready communication skills, along with the ability to operate independently with minimal oversight, demonstrate agility in handling shifting priorities and dynamic environments, collaborate across internal and external stakeholders, and uphold PBGH’s independent advisory posture.

COMPENSATION 
PBGH offers a competitive annual base salary range of $138,000 - $168,000. The base pay offered will be determined by factors including but not limited to experience, skills, location, education, internal equity, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
