Opgal is a global leader in Optical Gas Imaging and emissions monitoring solutions, seeking a visionary US Sales Director to lead their commercial strategy in the United States. The role involves driving revenue growth, managing enterprise accounts, and optimizing distribution channels within the oil and gas sector.
Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue & Growth: Own and exceed the annual US sales quota by expanding market share across upstream, midstream, downstream, and utility markets
- Enterprise Account Management: Establish, develop, and maintain high-level relationships with major US oil & gas operators, environmental consulting firms, and industrial enterprises
- Manage & Scale Distribution Channels: Evaluate, train, and manage US-based distributors, rep agencies, and strategic integration partners to ensure maximum market penetration
- Regulatory & Consultative Selling: Leverage deep understanding of US environmental regulations to position Opgal solutions as the premier compliance and risk-mitigation tool
- Technical Value Proposition: Effectively demonstrate and pitch Opgal’s complete ecosystem—combining ruggedized hardware with advanced gas quantification software (QOGI) and 24/7 automated solutions
- Brand Representation: Attend and represent Opgal at major US industry trade shows, regulatory workshops, and technical conferences
Skills
- Successful B2B sales experience in the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or industrial automation sectors
- Proven track record selling electro-optics, thermal imaging, gas detection, instrumentation, or environmental monitoring software
- Strong familiarity with EPA regulations, LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) programs, and methane mitigation frameworks
- Proven success managing third-party distribution channels and direct-to-enterprise sales simultaneously
- Exceptional negotiation, contract structuring, and presentation skills—comfortable pitching to field engineers and C-level executives alike
- Ability to travel heavily within the US for client meetings, site demonstrations, and events
