Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer-Infrastructure to join their team in Utah on a contract basis. The role focuses on strengthening and scaling cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on availability, security, and operational resilience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance AWS infrastructure to maintain dependable, secure, and high-performing cloud operations
- Design, configure, and support core networking and edge services, including VPC environments, Route 53, CloudFront, firewalls, and load balancing solutions
- Build, refine, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to improve consistency, scalability, and deployment efficiency
- Develop automation that supports disaster recovery readiness and strengthens resiliency across multiple Availability Zones
- Monitor cloud environments and implement improvements that reduce risk, increase uptime, and support long-term operational stability
- Partner with technical teams to plan and execute infrastructure changes while aligning cloud architecture with business and application needs
Skills
- 10+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS in complex enterprise or large-scale environments
- Active AWS certification is required
- Strong expertise with Terraform and infrastructure as code practices
- Proven experience managing AWS networking services such as Amazon VPC, Route 53, and load balancing tools
- Familiarity with Amazon CloudFront, AWS Control Tower, and cloud security controls
- Demonstrated ability to design highly available and resilient cloud solutions across multiple Availability Zones
