BeneSys, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain business-critical web applications in a cloud-based environment. This role involves full technology stack contributions, including back-end development with .NET and cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure, while collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using .NET, SQL Server, Azure services, and modern web technologies
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and business logic using .NET technologies
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of user interfaces using React and related front-end technologies
- Design, develop, and optimize queries, stored procedures, and data integration processes for SQL Server databases
- Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
- Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with organizational security standards
- Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, and Azure SQL
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application defects and performance issues across the full technology stack
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operational procedures
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and best practices
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts, QA analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Support production applications, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- 3–6 years of software development experience in full stack or backend application development
- Experience developing applications using C# and .NET
- Experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server database design, query optimization, and data modeling
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development best practices
- Experience with source control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of microservices and distributed application architectures
- Familiarity with application monitoring and logging tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based applications
