Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Baya Systems is a fast-moving Series B startup focused on software-driven, unified fabric solutions for semiconductor chips. They are seeking a SOC-IP Architect to develop hardware architectures and collaborate with engineering teams to shape their technology portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop hardware architectures for Baya products
- Explore options and validate architectural choices, using different modelling techniques as appropriate
- Write specifications
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure accurate execution against architecture
- Collaborate with customer-support team to ensure detailed understanding of architecture
- Interact with lead customers to understand and meet their requirements
Skills
- BS, MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- 8+ years and current hands-on experience in SoC architecture or microarchitecture
- In-depth understanding of digital hardware for some or all of cache-coherency, NoC, D2D interfaces, or other system IP
- Experience of large SoC projects including system-level understanding of some or all of place-and-route, RAS, security, interface-IP, QoS
- In-depth understanding of AMBA and other standard on-chip interfaces
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with modern programming/source-control/scripting eg Python/Git is a plus
