EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to serve as a hands-on technical lead in designing and implementing network infrastructure. The role involves leading network activities, ensuring security compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization's network security posture.
Responsibilities
- Lead network activities across the organization, including completing documentation, verifying BoMs, and supporting solution design
- Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies
- Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to identify and remediate potential security risks
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce identity and access management (IAM) policies and network access control (NAC) solutions
- Adhere to enterprise governance and review processes to deliver project goals and deliverables
- Follow enterprise ITSM and CMDB processes
- Engage with business customers to describe and discuss technical aspects of the solution and programme activities to non-technical audiences
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards and assist in audit processes as needed
- Stay abreast of the latest security threats, industry trends, and best practices to proactively enhance the organization's network security posture
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in network security, with a strong understanding of network security fundamentals, encryption technologies, and secure network design principles
- Expertise in Palo Alto, Zscaler, and zero trust architectures
- Proficiency in Zscaler Private Access and Zscaler Internet Access
- Skills in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls such as Cisco and Palo Alto
- Background in intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM tools, and security incident response
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends as required
- Strong English communication skills (B2 level or higher)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert in Security, or Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate/Professional
- Zscaler Digital Transformation Administrator, or Zscaler Zero Trust Certified Associate
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or Engineer (PCNSE)
- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or Expert (CCSE)
- Certified Network Security Professional such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+
