Responsibilities
- Strong hands-on experience with modern data engineering stack including Hadoop, Spark, Python, Scala, Redis, Kafka, and Kafka Streams/KStream for building scalable data pipelines and real-time processing solutions
- Proven ability to design, optimize, and maintain large-scale distributed data platforms, streaming architectures, and high-performance ETL/ELT workflows
- Exposure to emerging AI/data technologies including vector databases, graph databases, and AI/ML data platform integrations to support next-generation analytics and intelligent applications
- Be comfortable with client interaction- needs to be client facing
- Give client presentations
- Strong Executive presence
- Kafka experience is a must-have
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with data integration and ETL tools, such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Talend
- Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
