Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hyland is looking for an experienced and technically driven Sales Solution Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll serve as the technical lead for complex pre-sales engagements, helping customers understand and visualize the value of Hyland's platform while mentoring fellow team members.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for complex customer engagements; lead pre-sales meetings, identify technical requirements, and formulate a tailored solution strategy grounded in deep solutions knowledge and industry best practices
- Create and deliver compelling demonstrations of proposed solutions to key customer stakeholders; present at trade shows, conferences, and events to effectively showcase Hyland's capabilities
- Coordinate with global services teams to transition key customer information and remain actively engaged throughout the handoff process to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Provide technical responses for RFPs and compose internal documentation that fully and accurately reflects all activity related to the solution strategy
- Take proactive measures to identify and improve internal efficiencies; remain current on best practices and market trends to continuously grow team knowledge
- Mentor, coach, and train team members; provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities and collaborate with development teams to support ongoing solution enhancements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; significant experience in technical sales and relevant industry or technology
- Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms and general software implementation methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging, informative, and compelling demonstrations and presentations; strong ability to communicate with ease, clarity, and impact, adapting style to subject and audience
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport, build trust, and gain consensus with diverse stakeholders; strong collaboration skills applied within teams and across functions
- Self-directed with the ability to manage projects to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; up to 60% travel time required; driven to learn and stay current professionally
- Deep expertise in a specific vertical or industry, enabling consultative engagement with clients and prospects at an executive level
- Experience mentoring or coaching team members with the ability to provide constructive feedback and actively support professional growth
- Proven ability to identify internal process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance overall team performance
- Experience presenting at trade shows, industry conferences, or external events to broad and diverse audiences
- Experience collaborating with product development or engineering teams to support solution enhancements informed by customer feedback
