The Sales Manager is responsible for building meaningful relationships, driving growth, and expanding participation across all DanceOne programs and events, blending strategic sales expertise with a genuine passion for dance and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with DanceOne’s goals for growth and brand impact
- Build, manage, and nurture relationships with studio owners, educators, and partners to expand participation
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets within the dance and performing arts industries
- Represent DanceOne at conventions, events, and trade shows — promoting programs and engaging directly with the community
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and events teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for clients and participants
- Maintain and track a healthy sales pipeline, report on performance metrics, and forecast future growth opportunities
- Provide valuable field insights to inform programming, messaging, and partnership initiatives
- Support client retention and loyalty through personalized communication and follow-up
- Embody and promote DanceOne’s core values — integrity, passion, creativity, and community — in every interaction
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in sales, partnership development, or account management
- Proven success in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the performing arts, events, education industries or medical sales
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills
- Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Confident and engaging public speaker, comfortable representing the brand at live events
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Proficiency with CRM systems, sales tracking, and Google or Microsoft Office Suite tools
- Deep appreciation for dance, the arts, and community development
- Travel required to conventions, events, and studio visits. (Up to 75% travel)
- Ability to work occasional weekends and flexible hours during event seasons
- Experience in the dance, performing arts, or event industry strongly preferred
