Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kirk Key Interlock Company LLC is seeking a Sales Engineer for the Midwest Territory. The role involves working directly with customers to implement product-based solutions, targeting new accounts, and increasing sales volume through various channels while establishing long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Educate and influence OEMs, systems integrators, consulting engineers, and end users to specify Sentric products by effectively presenting technical products and applications
- Contact potential new and existing customers to discuss their needs and offer products and solution-based services
- Work with Sales Leader, Interlock Solutions to develop marketing action plan and sales targets in territory. Develop individual sales plan to ensure the achievement of targets
- Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment
- Collaborate with Marketing Department to develop and present innovative technical presentations that promote Sentric products and applications
- Attend trade shows as necessary to increase awareness of Sentric products
- Manage and negotiate contracts on all accounts
- Institute necessary price increases across customer base
- Routinely track and communicate sales pipeline, sales prospects, and competitive threats
- Work with New Product Development team as a voice of the customer to enhance current product offerings and introduce new products
- Work closely with Inside Sales team to establish order processes to continuously drive internal and external efficiency
- Maintain company visibility in various standards committees, associations, and organizations
- Maintain customer records using CRM systems
- Travel to customer sites and projects as needed, up to 50% of the time
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the Halma Car Policy requirements as a business driver
- Assist with other projects and issues as needed or requested
Skills
- Ten years' applicable experience in Sales, Electrical Distribution, Controls, Safety, or equivalent
- Experience in creating and establishing relationships & negotiating terms with customers
- Proven track record of growing sales & developing accounts
- Knowledge of electrical systems and industrial process applications
- Strong technical background, preferably in electrical switching apparatus and safety solutions
- Knowledge of electrical safety rules and regulations that fall under OSHA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated individual possessing a mix of technical and language skills with strong attention to detail
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet the Halma Car Policy requirements as a business driver
- Travel to customer sites and projects as needed, up to 50% of the time
- Engineering degree or technical degree preferred
