Synergy Technologies is seeking an experienced Payroll Process Owner / Technical Project Manager with strong expertise in end-to-end payroll operations. The ideal candidate will lead payroll process activities, ensure compliance, and collaborate with clients and consultants to drive successful payroll implementations and transformations.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end payroll process activities during implementation and transformation projects
- Own payroll testing activities, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Parallel Payroll Runs, and Production Validation
- Execute payroll validation and reconcile payroll results between legacy and new payroll systems
- Analyze payroll discrepancies and work with Functional Consultants to resolve payroll issues
- Coordinate payroll cutover, go-live, and post-production support activities
- Partner closely with Payroll Functional Consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders
- Ensure payroll compliance with country-specific payroll regulations and statutory requirements
- Prepare test scenarios, test scripts, reconciliation reports, and project documentation
- Track project milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring timely delivery
- Facilitate client workshops, status meetings, and payroll solution discussions
Skills
- Strong expertise in end-to-end payroll processes and payroll operations
- Experience with payroll testing, payroll execution, and payroll result reconciliation
- Hands-on experience performing Parallel Payroll Runs and payroll validation
- Strong understanding of payroll implementation and migration projects
- Experience working with SAP EC Payroll or global payroll solutions
- Ability to analyze payroll variances and troubleshoot payroll issues
- Strong client-facing, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Experience collaborating with functional consultants and cross-functional project teams
- Knowledge of payroll compliance, taxation, and statutory regulations
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) is preferred
- 13+ years of payroll implementation or payroll operations experience
- Experience as a Payroll Process Owner, Payroll Lead, or Technical Project Manager
- Experience working on global payroll transformation projects
- SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll experience is highly preferred
- Experience working with payroll implementations is an added advantage
