TRIO - Translational Research in Oncology is a global academic clinical research organization dedicated to advancing translational cancer research in the clinical trial setting. They are looking for a Junior Accountant to join their Finance team, responsible for various accounting tasks including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and expense reimbursements.
Responsibilities
- Performing bank account reconciliations, including accounts with multi currency transactions
- Preparing and posting journal entries, including foreign exchange gains and losses
- Reviewing, verifying, and posting employee expense reimbursements through Concur
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance of expense reimbursement journal entries
- Preparing payment reports and supporting internal and external reporting requirements
- Assisting with the preparation of quarterly per patient cost reimbursements
- Completing balance sheet account reconciliations on a regular basis
- Code, total, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile accounts payable invoices for electronic payment
- Post journal entries and reconcile payable and expense accounts
- Data entry as needed, including journal vouchers and bank transactions
- Act as an understudy for the accounts payable clerk
- Other ad-hoc reports as requested by management
Skills
- Diploma in Accounting/Business/Commerce
- Combination of education and experience will be considered
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Intermediate level knowledge of accounting systems
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills (Intermediate to advanced Excel)
