What You'll Do

As a Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a crucial role in delivering outstanding support to customers of one of the nation's leading power and utility companies. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Handling High-Volume Inbound Calls: You'll be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance. Every call is an opportunity to demonstrate your problem-solving abilities and customer service expertise.
  • Customer Support Excellence: Assist customers with a wide range of inquiries including power outage reporting, payment processing, creating customized payment plans, and initiating or terminating service. Your goal is to resolve each customer's needs efficiently and professionally.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: On every eligible call, you'll have the opportunity to offer additional products and services that enhance customer protection and peace of mind. These include surge protection programs, home wiring protection plans, and water heater repair services.
  • Data Entry and System Navigation: While engaging with customers via telephone, you'll navigate multiple computer screens and accurately enter information to document interactions and process requests.
  • Meeting Performance Goals: You'll be expected to meet various program objectives related to call handle time, customer satisfaction scores, and sales performance. Don't worry – we'll provide comprehensive training to help you succeed!

Work Schedule and Environment

We understand that flexibility matters, which is why we've designed a schedule that works for dedicated professionals like you:

  • Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern Time
  • Weekly Commitment: 40 hours per week with the possibility of overtime during storm outages or high-volume periods
  • Work Location: 100% remote – work from the comfort of your own home!
  • Equipment Provision: arenaflex provides all necessary equipment – you just need to supply high-speed internet and maintain a dedicated, distraction-free office space that can be verified during our interview process via video conferencing.

Qualifications We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of recent experience working as an inbound customer service agent is required. This experience must be verifiable.
  • Sales Background: Previous experience with upselling or cross-selling is mandatory. During your interview, be prepared to share your goals and results from previous sales-oriented roles.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. Since this role is conducted entirely via telephone, clarity, professionalism, and active listening are non-negotiable.
  • Technical Proficiency: You must be tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems quickly. The ability to navigate multiple screens while simultaneously engaging with customers is crucial.
  • Self-Motivation: As a remote worker, you'll need strong time management skills and the ability to work independently without direct supervision while still meeting program goals.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Accuracy matters in this role. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail will help you succeed.
  • Background Check and Drug Screen: All candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the utility, telecommunications, or healthcare industries
  • Experience handling high-stress situations and de-escalation techniques
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
