[Remote] HR GENERALIST

Easterseals Goodwill North Dakota is seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of their Human Resources department. This role involves key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance support. Responsibilities • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes for open positions • Coordinate background checks, eligibility verification, onboarding, and new hire orientation • Support benefits and wellness administration, including enrollment, tracking, and team member questions • Help manage leave and compliance-related programs such as FMLA, WSI, STD, and OSHA documentation • Represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment events • Assist in developing job descriptions and interview tools that support effective hiring • Support unemployment claims documentation and other HR records • Contribute to HR policy updates and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of employee information • Promote the mission, vision, and values of Easterseals Goodwill North Dakota in daily work Skills • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines • Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment • Valid driver's license and ability to travel minimally as needed • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field • 1–2 years of Human Resources experience • Preferred proficiency in ADP Workforce Now Benefits • Two weeks PTO in year one + sick time + 13 paid holidays • Health insurance (free employee-only coverage options available) • 401(k) with employer contributions • Paid leadership training & development • Tuition reimbursement opportunities • Cell phone stipend • Mileage reimbursement (when applicable) • Company laptop provided • Flexible scheduling Company Overview • Easterseals Goodwill ND, Inc. has an affiliation with two national organizations: Easterseals and Goodwill Industries.
