They are seeking an Engineer for Embedded Software Testing who will be responsible for developing and executing test procedures, analyzing issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure successful project completion.
Responsibilities
- Review the requirements and come up with positive as well as negative test scenarios/headers to verify explicit as well as implicit product specifications
- Develop and execute test procedures/test cases based on identified test scenarios/headers
- Develop and execute test scripts for achieving planned test automation
- Perform white box testing wherever necessary
- Analyse/debug problems/issues faced during the project
- Assist seniors in test optimization efforts to arrive at optimum test scope
- Participate in advanced development on Test Automation
- Record and share technical knowledge and experience gained
- Follow organization's software testing processes and procedures
- Support seniors/leader to ensure that the project milestone deadlines are met
- Support development leader on estimation and risk identification for the assigned work
- Collaborate with global engineering teams for successful project completion
Skills
- Expertise with software testing fundamentals
- Good understanding of with 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers
- Experience with analog as well as digital electronic schematics, circuit boards, component datasheets
- Domain knowledge of residential HVAC systems
- Sound analytical skills and debugging capabilities
- Excellent understanding of various wired protocols like UART, I2C, SPI
- Familiarity with wireless protocols like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, TCP/IP
- Experience with tools like Bugzilla, TestLink, ReviewBoard etc
- Basic understanding of programming and languages like C, C++
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability of lateral thinking
- 1 to 3 years of experience in embedded software testing
- B.E./M.Sc./M.E./M.Tech
- Discipline: Electronics/Electronics and Telecommunications/Instrumentation

- Communicates effectively: Developing and delivering multimode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
