The role involves designing analytics datasets, developing dashboards, and translating business requirements into actionable insights for various teams within the company.
Responsibilities
- Design and build analytics datasets and reporting layers for P&C insurance lines of business
- Develop interactive dashboards in Tableau and/or Power BI for Policy, Claims, Billing, and Finance teams
- Perform data mapping, validation, and testing across source systems
- Translate business requirements from insurance stakeholders into data models and actionable insights
- Work cross-functionally with underwriting, claims, finance, and operations teams
Skills
- 6–10+ years in analytics or data engineering roles
- Direct P&C insurance domain experience - Policy, Claims, Billing, or Finance (non-negotiable)
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills (dimensional modeling, star schema preferred)
- Hands-on Tableau and/or Power BI dashboard development
- Experience with data validation, testing, and reconciliation
- Ability to work independently and directly with business stakeholders
- Experience with dbt, Snowflake, or cloud data platforms
- Background in Qlik, SSIS, or other ETL tools
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting in insurance environments
