Parallel Works is a leader in democratizing high performance computing technology to support compute-intensive research across academia, government, and industry. They are seeking a Customer Success Engineer to work closely with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to support customers, maintain platform environments, and contribute to the successful deployment of cutting-edge computing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Field and triage routine support tickets, write bug reports, and escalate issues to the development team when necessary
- Manage base operating system and cluster software stack builds, ensuring compute environments meet or exceed established performance baselines
- Assist with testing, validation, and documentation of new platform features and releases
- Maintain internal support, operations, and systems engineering documentation
- Provide support to platform users and share best practices for making effective use of the platform and managed compute resources
- Experiment with installing, running, evaluating, and documenting new applications, orchestration frameworks, and AI agentic workflows in support of customer engagements
- Collaborate with engineering and professional services teams to troubleshoot customer issues and improve platform reliability
- Support customer onboarding, training, and technical enablement activities as needed
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in technical support, customer success engineering, systems administration, DevOps, HPC, cloud computing, academic/research computing, or a related technical field
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line environments
- Experience troubleshooting software, infrastructure, or distributed computing environments
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and solving complex technical challenges
- Security Clearance: This role may support classified U.S. government programs. Candidates may be required to undergo a federal background investigation
- Experience with cloud platforms, container technologies, schedulers, or orchestration frameworks is a plus
- Exposure to High Performance Computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), or scientific computing environments is preferred
