Dice is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform to support enterprise cloud migration and infrastructure modernization. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing secure cloud environments while collaborating with various teams to build resilient cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade Google Cloud Platform infrastructure
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Build and support automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments
- Configure and manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Shared VPCs, networking, compute, and storage resources
- Implement cloud security, IAM policies, and governance best practices
- Monitor cloud infrastructure using logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues while supporting production environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud migration, modernization, and automation projects
- Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting enterprise cloud environments
Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure engineering
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services
- 5+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform or similar tools
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML
- Experience administering both Windows and Linux environments
- Knowledge of: Cloud Networking, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Cloud Security, Monitoring & Logging, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity, Containers and Infrastructure Automation
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer Certification
- Experience with enterprise CI/CD tools such as: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
- Experience supporting enterprise cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Enterprise cloud architecture experience
- Observability and monitoring solutions
- Large-scale cloud transformation project experience
- Strong automation and infrastructure optimization skills
