The Clinical Supervisor/Program Coordinator plays a key leadership role by providing clinical oversight, supervision, and quality assurance for clinicians, while ensuring high quality service delivery and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide weekly individual supervision and monthly group supervision to LMSWs, LGPCs, interns, and other assigned supervisees
- Review and approve clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Support supervisees in developing clinical competencies, ethical decision‑making, and evidence‑based practice skills
- Maintain supervision logs, competency evaluations, and board‑required documentation
- Participate in onboarding and training of new clinical staff and interns
- Conduct routine chart audits to ensure documentation accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Medicaid, insurance, and state board standards
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, confidentiality laws, and KBH’s internal policies and risk‑management protocols
- Identify documentation gaps and provide corrective action plans or coaching as needed
- Assist in developing, updating, and implementing clinical policies, procedures, and workflows
- Provide consultation on complex, high‑risk, or crisis cases
- Support clinicians in developing treatment plans, safety plans, and clinically appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director on incident reviews, escalations, and service delivery improvements
- Ensure continuity of care and adherence to evidence‑based therapeutic practices
- Organize, implement, and monitor clinical program activities to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate program documentation, prepare progress reports, and support quality assurance initiatives
- Assist with budget tracking, purchasing, and billing coordination as needed
- Participate in clinical meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Manage workflow optimization, and clinical quality initiatives
- Assist in maintaining compliance with state‑specific requirements and best‑practice standards
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and clinical excellence
- Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and training of clinical staff and support personnel
- Facilitate team communication, case conferences, and cross‑departmental collaboration to ensure cohesive service delivery
