Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) is responsible for conserving and managing the state’s wildlife resources. The Administrative Officer provides essential administrative, operational, and fiscal support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations within the Helene Restoration Division.
Responsibilities
- Provides essential administrative, operational, and fiscal support to the Division Chief and Assistant Chiefs to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
- Coordinates administrative processes, maintains organized systems, and assists with fiscal and personnel activities to support division leadership
- Supervises two Administrative Specialists and provides administrative oversight for the division
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and HR policies and practices
- Knowledge of public administration principles and practices
- Experience performing analysis in business operations, banking operations, accounting, or financial reporting and knowledge of general office technical skills
- Experience allocating resources, planning, procurement, and oversight of budgets and contracts to ensure fiscal stability of the unit
- Experience exercising judgment and discretion, interpreting policies and procedures
