The UW School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a Post-Award Accountant to support the financial management of their sponsored research portfolio. This role involves working closely with principal investigators to manage budgets, review expenditures, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assists principal investigators with financial management of sponsored program budgets and directs day-to-day fiscal transactions
- Prepares and processes financial reporting and/or invoicing information
- Provides expertise and advice related to procurement and allowable charges
- Reviews financial expenditures for accuracy on sponsored grants and contracts
Skills
- Professional experience in accounting, financial management, and/or grants administration
- Experience preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and/or managing budgets
- Experience using enterprise financial systems
- At least 1 year of experience with post-award accounting
- Experience in an academic, research, and/or healthcare environment
- Associate's Degree Preferred
