Position Purpose:
The National Sales Manager – Logistics serves as a strategic liaison between Corporate Logistics, National Account Sales, and key internal stakeholders to support and enhance supply chain performance for large national customers. This role is responsible for driving logistics value, improving profitability, and strengthening customer relationships by delivering data-driven insights, optimizing inbound logistics strategies, and mitigating risk across the distribution network.

Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Corporate Logistics, National Account Sales, and internal cross-functional teams regarding customer supply chain and logistics initiatives
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver data-driven analyses and reporting to both internal and external audiences, highlighting logistics performance, opportunities, and value propositions
  • Engage directly with large national account customers, conducting regular business reviews and on-site visits to assess needs, reinforce value, and identify risks (e.g., potential shift to 3PL providers)
  • Support and influence customer profitability by aligning logistics strategies with company financial targets, including income, cost efficiencies, and service optimization
  • Analyze inbound logistics networks and recommend improvements related to transportation, distribution design, and operational efficiencies
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including service disruptions, cost pressures, and competitive threats
  • Collaborate across multiple OpCos, service providers, and functional teams to manage complex, high-visibility projects simultaneously
  • Support contract discussions by providing insight into distribution agreements, pricing structures, and logistics-related terms
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.

Work Experience: 5 - 7 Years - Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation, with exposure to customer-facing or national account environments.

Required Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of inbound logistics, transportation, and distribution network design, preferably within foodservice or a similar distribution environment
• Understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and risk management practices
• Experience working with national or large-scale customers in a logistics, supply chain, or account management capacity
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), SAP, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of financial processes and controls within a multi-division or multi-OpCo environment
• Strong understanding of distribution agreements, including fee structures, service expectations, and contractual terms

Compensation

80,000 to $120,000 pay varies based on geographic region. Bonus opportunity.
