The Help Desk Technician will provide technical assistance to customers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure effective communication while maintaining a customer-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance
- Perform necessary and appropriate troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
- Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
- Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
- Image/Re-image machines as necessary
- Be available to work overtime when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Help Desk experience
- Possessing technical skills (Windows environment)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Understanding the problem, troubleshooting and explaining the solution
- Customer-oriented personality demonstrating patience with users
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Proven experience as a help desk technician or other IT customer support role
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of Windows business environments, automation products, databases and remote control
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication skills
- High School Diploma
