<p><b>Join Our Team at Alaska Waste!</b> We are part of Waste Connections and currently have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time CDL Truck Driver to help with local routes. This position is based in <b>Healy, AK</b>.</p><p></p><p>Your schedule will be Monday to Friday, working from 7 am to 3 or 4 pm, allowing for a great work-life balance!</p><p></p><p>The pay for this position is <b>$30.00 per hour based on experience.</b></p><p></p><p><u>Duties and Responsibilities:</u></p><ul><li>Safely operate a garbage and tank truck on designated routes to collect solid waste.</li><li>Read route sheets and provide excellent service to each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.</li><li>Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance, ensuring safety equipment and fluids are correctly managed.</li><li>Maintain a physically demanding role, including loading and unloading waste, sometimes without assistance.</li><li>Engage courteously with customers and perform additional job-related duties as required.</li><li>Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and presenting a professional appearance at all times.</li></ul><p></p><p><u>Working Conditions and Physical Effort:</u></p><ul><li>Engage in extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting and strenuous work involving objects over 50 pounds.</li><li>Work in an environment that may involve physical risks, requiring adherence to basic safety measures.</li><li>Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including humidity, fumes, vibrations, and moderate noise levels.</li></ul><p></p><p><u>Minimum Job Requirements:</u></p><ul><li>Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement.</li><li>Clean driving record is a must.</li><li>Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.</li><li>Mechanical knowledge and capability to maintain vehicles in good working order.</li><li>At least 1 year of relevant experience related to the listed duties and responsibilities.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>If you are interested in this position, please complete an application at www.wasteconnections.com.</b></p><p></p><p>Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
