We're committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences, powered by groundbreaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine. **Job Summary** We're seeking an experienced Patient Screener/Customer Service Representative to join our team at the UHealth campus. As a Patient Screener/Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, setting the tone for their experience at arenaflex. You'll be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all visitors. **Key Responsibilities** * Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy by accessing patient information only to the extent necessary to fulfill assigned duties, adhering to HIPAA requirements and departmental policies. * Make safety, customer service, care, and satisfaction the priority in every interaction, upholding the CICARE and ACT framework. * Create ID badges for all patients, families, and visitors upon entering the UHealth hospital lobbies. * Provide directions as needed, assist with parking validations, and assist with any needs of our patients, family, and visitors. * Create online profiles for patients, families, and visitors to improve the speediness of issuing badges and enhance their experience. * Act as a point of reference for patients, families, and visitors who need assistance or information, attending to their wishes and requirements. * Listen carefully to all patient, family, and visitor requests to provide a positive experience and proactively identify any support they may require. * Escort patients or family members when appropriate, and assist with wheelchair transportation or other needs to help our differently-abled patients. * Verify appointments in EPIC to validate parking and work closely with Public Safety for patients/visitors who are not permitted to visit the facility. * Maintain a clean work environment and professional appearance to comply with relevant health and safety procedures. * Cover weekend and/or evening shifts as required. **CORE QUALIFICATIONS** * High School diploma or equivalent * Prior Customer Service experience helpful * Proficiency in English; multilingual skill is strongly preferred (Spanish speaking preferred) * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm, professional, and empathic demeanor * Ability to multitask and utilize time-management skills * Provide the highest level of customer service and promote a welcoming environment * Excellent communication skills; speak clearly and maintain a positive tone and a helpful attitude * Ensures a clean, pleasant, and safe working environment * Maintains professional attire and demeanor to project confidence with patients, families, and visitors **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm and professional demeanor **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
