Position Overview
We're looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist to lead our Retail Strategic Health Analytics initiatives. In this critical role, you will develop and implement sophisticated algorithms and statistical predictive models that inform business strategy and drive operational efficiency across our retail health network. Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for driving the analytical direction of our retail health initiatives. Your primary duties will include:
- Algorithm Development & Predictive Modeling: Design, develop, and deploy advanced algorithms and statistical predictive models to assess various business scenarios and forecast future outcomes. You will determine the most appropriate analytical techniques and modeling strategies to address complex business questions.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: Perform comprehensive analyses of both structured and unstructured data to solve multifaceted business problems. Utilize advanced statistical techniques, mathematical analyses, and deep knowledge of the healthcare industry to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
- Business Partnership Collaboration: Work closely with business partners across departments to understand their unique challenges and objectives. Develop predictive modeling solutions, statistical analyses, data reports, and performance metrics that align with strategic goals.
- Presentation & Consultation: Develop and deliver presentations and consultations to present and potential stakeholders on analytics results and solutions. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences in clear, compelling terms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact with internal and external peers and leadership to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization. Foster strong working relationships across the organization.
- Pattern Recognition & Solution Development: Apply strong expertise in algorithms and predictive models to analyze business problems, detect hidden patterns, and recommend innovative solutions that drive measurable business value.

Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must bring a solid foundation of experience and technical expertise:
- A minimum of 3+ years of relevant analytic experience in a professional setting
- Proven experience programming using R or Python, with demonstrated proficiency in statistical computing
- Hands-on experience with SAS or SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
