You'll work closely with our Language Designers to develop and refine our language models, ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy and performance. Your expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) will be instrumental in driving innovation and improving our AI-powered language services. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop a deep understanding of data collection and annotation rules, as well as various annotation tools and techniques. - Annotate language data precisely and efficiently, meeting deadlines and adhering to quality standards. - Participate in data creation, collection, and quality assurance initiatives, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our language data. - Conduct in-depth analysis of language data to identify patterns and trends, and develop recommendations for improvement. - Collaborate with other ML Data Linguists to resolve data ambiguities and annotation conflicts. - Provide input to Language Designers on annotation rules, tooling, and processes to drive enhancements and improvements. - Develop and maintain a range of language resources, including datasets for training and evaluation. - Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in NLP and ML. **About the Team** Our computer-based intelligence Information Group is a dynamic and collaborative team of experts dedicated to creating high-quality language data and resources. We're passionate about innovation, customer satisfaction, and employee well-being, and we're committed to making a positive impact on the world through our work. **Essential Capabilities** - Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communication, Cognitive Science, or a related field, with a strong foundation in phonetics, semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, and text analysis. - At least six months of experience in NLP annotation and other types of data markup. - Native or near-native proficiency in English (US) (CEFR C1 or above). - Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and dynamic environment. - Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. **Preferred Capabilities** - Ability to quickly learn new rules, technical concepts, and software tools. - Experience with command-line interfaces and basic Unix commands. - Knowledge of common text processing tools and techniques. - Working knowledge of various file formats and markup languages (e.g., JSON, XML, HTML). - Familiarity with clinical terminology or experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting. - Passion for language, semantics, human language technology, and artificial intelligence. - Basic to intermediate programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, HTML, JavaScript. **Work-Life Balance** At arenaflex, we believe that work-life balance is essential to long-term happiness and fulfillment.
