**The DDSI Team**
The Data Science + Mix (DDSI) team is responsible for supporting clients across arenaflex, including the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division, which encompasses Parks and Resorts both domestic and international, Consumer Products and Disney Consumer Products & Interactive Media, as well as the Disney Media Networks division, which includes Studios Content (Disney General Entertainment Content), General Entertainment Content, and ESPN and Sports Content. Our team uses data science, data engineering, and analytics to drive business decisions and drive business value.
**The Data Engineering Team**
The Data Engineering team is responsible for collaborating with Data Science, Client and Innovation colleagues on various development and sustainment projects, ad-hoc requests, prototyping and research initiatives by providing data pipeline and data set design services. We're looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team and help us develop and sustain our media business.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and sustaining data pipelines and data sets for our media business
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions
* Working with large datasets and cloud-based technologies, such as Snowflake and Databricks
* Developing and maintaining automated workflows and schedulers
* Ensuring data quality and integrity through data validation and testing
* Collaborating with data scientists to develop and deploy data models and visualizations
* Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong experience with Python and SQL, ideally with Snowflake
* Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS
* Experience with source control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub
* Experience with Docker and containerization
* Strong understanding of data set design and architecture
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses, such as Snowflake or Databricks
* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
* Experience with data governance and compliance
* Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
