Position Overview: Manager, Analytics
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and analytically minded professional to join our team as a Manager, Analytics. In this critical role, you will be responsible for supporting our paid media analysis capabilities and surfacing data-driven strategic opportunities for our executive leadership team. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our paid media spend globally, working directly with marketing teams to identify efficiencies and develop comprehensive reporting frameworks that drive informed decision-making.
As the Manager, Analytics at arenaflex, you will serve as a key contributor to our strategic planning process by creating and communicating tailored reporting and analyses that inform our paid media strategy. You will be responsible for developing KPIs and scorecards that track progress and performance, ensuring that our organization maintains a relentless focus on results and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of our analytics team, you will be expected to:
- Deliver Comprehensive Reporting and Insights: Create and maintain detailed reporting in the realm of paid media, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that guide strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Build Analytical Frameworks: Plan, design, and lead the development of analysis, business intelligence, and data science initiatives aimed at enhancing measurable paid media performance and improving overall marketing efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Data Science Teams: Work closely with the paid media data science team and marketing departments to implement sophisticated media mix models that optimize our advertising investments.
- Conduct Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform impromptu analysis through database querying, followed by rapid interpretation of results and the definition and communication of recommendations that drive immediate action.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a trusted colleague with marketing, finance, and data product teams to address complex business challenges and track marketing and product performance using a data-driven approach.
- Technical Reporting Excellence: Leverage Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, QuickSight, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports that meet business requirements.
- Business Issue Analysis: Analyze data to identify emerging business issues and conduct deep-dive investigations to perform comprehensive root cause analysis.
- Data Synthesis: Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage both internal data (from various sources within arenaflex) and external data from market research and advertising partners to address complex business challenges by delivering meaningful insights.
- Customer Insight Generation: Conceptualize and execute analyses that generate insights on customer behavior and customer needs, supporting the continued development and improvement of our value proposition.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in Business Intelligence, Analysis, or Consulting within an e-commerce environment or a related field that required handling large datasets and deriving strategic insights.
- Advanced SQL Proficiency: Strong expertise in writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and manipulating large datasets efficiently.
- Visualization Tool Expertise: Advanced experience with at least one industry-leading analysis and statistics visualization tool such as Tableau, QuickSight, or PowerBI.
- Excel Mastery: Proven advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a demonstrated history of using the tool for complex data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or another related field from an accredited institution.
