About the job: We’re looking for a Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping high-quality, safe, and efficient developments while collaborating with a wide network of stakeholders. What you’ll be doing: As a Construction Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will: Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources Work collaboratively with contractors, architects, and cross-functional partners Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, issues, or delays Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and internal standards Lead contractor management through regular communication, site visits, and progress meetings Provide clear and consistent updates to partners Ensure strong cost management and effective budget control Promote a culture of safety, including adherence to high-risk activity controls and safety standards Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including handover and safety files Share lessons learned to improve future project delivery Coach and support junior team members where needed What we’re looking for: Experience managing construction projects from concept through to completion Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver cost-effective solutions Confidence leading contractors and multi-disciplinary teams Knowledge of construction regulations, compliance, and safety standards Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities It’s great if you also have: A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Professional accreditation (e.g. APM or similar) Experience in sectors such as mobility, energy, retail, or forecourt construction Familiarity with JCT contracts Why Join us: At bp, we offer a supportive and inclusive environment where you can grow and develop your career.
