Co-operators is a leading Canadian financial services co-operative committed to a sustainable society. As a Claims Representative I, Auto, you will investigate, negotiate, and settle service claims while providing exceptional client service and contributing to a client-centric culture.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional client service to our customers as an industry leader in client engagement
• Reviewing policy wordings, applying coverages, negotiating and settling service claims
• Investigating and evaluating relevant information to quantify losses and identify opportunities for salvage and subrogation recoveries
• Proactively communicating with clients and stakeholders for efficient, timely, and quality resolution of claims

Skills

• English is required
• Experience in insurance or a related client service focused field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable with technology and have excellent computer skills
• Driven to create an exceptional customer experience
• Thrive in a fast-paced and changing working environment
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• Execute critical thinking skills to identify problems and are accountable to finding proactive solutions
• Collaborate with team members to share knowledge to support peers
• Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required during peak periods and major events
• High degree of confidentiality and discretion is required
• Subject to a Background check as a condition of employment
• French is an asset
• Desire to grow your education by working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and Provincial Adjuster Licenses
• Post-secondary education in insurance, risk management or a related discipline is an asset
