They are seeking a Business Development Representative to drive revenue growth by generating qualified leads and establishing new client relationships through effective communication and collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new sales leads through outbound calls, emails, and other channels within the wealth and institutional financial markets
- Qualify inbound leads from various sources, including marketing campaigns, events, and website inquiries
- Conduct initial outreach and engage with potential clients to understand their needs and introduce Canoe Intelligence's solutions
- Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies to drive pipeline growth
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions and lead activities in the CRM system
- Work closely with Sales Executives to schedule meetings and appointments with qualified prospects
- Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and competitors to effectively position Canoe Intelligence's value proposition
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a sales/business development or similar role, preferably within the financial technology (fintech) sector
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage and build rapport with prospects
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets and KPIs
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and sales prospecting tools
- Knowledge of alternative investments, asset servicing, or financial services
