As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Trademark / Intellectual Property Attorney to support our growing IP needs. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Trademark / IP Attorney with a >span class="BZ_Pyq_fadeIn">background in trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and enforcement. >span class="BZ_Pyq_fadeIn">individual will work closely with clients ranging from startups to established businesses, providing end-to-end trademark support—from clearance and filings to enforcement and dispute resolution. This role can be structured as either a contract position or full-time opportunity, depending on candidate preference and fit. Key Responsibilities • Conduct trademark clearance searches and provide risk assessment • Prepare and file trademark applications with the USPTO • Manage and maintain trademark portfolios, including renewals and monitoring • Respond to Office Actions and handle USPTO correspondence • Advise clients on brand protection strategies and trademark selection • Handle enforcement matters, including cease and desist letters and disputes • Support opposition and cancellation proceedings (TTAB) • Collaborate with internal teams on broader IP and business strategy matters • Provide guidance on copyright and related IP issues (a plus) Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school • Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar • 3+ years of experience in trademark and intellectual property law • Demonstrated experience with USPTO filings and trademark prosecution • Experience with trademark enforcement and dispute resolution • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters efficiently • Client-focused mindset with strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with TTAB proceedings • Exposure to copyright and broader IP matters • Experience working with entrepreneurs, startups, or growth-stage companies What We Offer • Flexible work environment (remote or hybrid options) • Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture • Opportunity to grow with an expanding practice • Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience and structure) • For full-time roles: comprehensive benefits package
