Associate, Financial Reporting & Audits

Cover Genius is a Series E Insurtech that protects the global customers of the world’s largest digital companies. They are seeking an Associate, Financial Reporting & Audits to lead local statutory audits and control assessments, ensuring high-quality delivery through collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Audit Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits and reviews; prepare and manage technical memos, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Request Management: Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of audit responses, verifying that all necessary materials and disclosures meet compliance standards
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the FP&A team to coordinate responses regarding forecasts for impairment analysis, going-concern assessments, and other complex financial areas
• Financial Storytelling: Prepare and deliver clear, comprehensive explanations of financial statements and disclosures to auditors and key external stakeholders
• Process Optimization: Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial operating efficiency and streamline global operations

Skills

• Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to convey complex financial and technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Strong relationship-management skills to effectively gather information and resolve audit hurdles with internal 'clients.'
• Proven project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple high-priority assignments under tight deadlines
• Extreme attention to detail to ensure the integrity and completeness of all information provided to auditors
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Big Four audit experience and proficiency in NetSuite are highly preferred
