<p><strong>Cleveland Utilities Authority, a municipal utility providing electric, water, wastewater and fiber </strong><br /><strong>services to the Cleveland, Tennessee/Bradley County area, is seeking an Apprentice Lineman to </strong><br /><strong>construct and maintain our electrical transmission and distribution facilities. </strong> </p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: </strong> </p> <ul> <li>Provide assistance in the construction and maintenance of distribution and transmission lines. </li> <li>Assist in the installation of underground cables, wire, conduit, metering, transformers, pads, switch gear, protective devices, pull boxes, pedestal, and lighting equipment. </li> <li>Ability to use hand tools such as shovel, post-hole diggers, tamps, etc. to assist crew members in providing electrical service to customers. </li> <li>Perform linework on both overhead and underground services. </li> <li>Perform all aspects of the job utilizing all required safety procedures and equipment. </li> <li>Climb poles and perform linework more than 75-feet, while using climbing gear. </li> <li>Work in elevated positions from aerial lifts, ladders, and substation structures. </li> <li>Operate boom trucks, forklifts, specialized line equipment, testing equipment and other equipment. </li> <li>Ensure tools and equipment are in safe working conditions and well maintained. </li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned by Working Line Foreman/Line Section Supervisor. </li> </ul> <p><strong>PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS: </strong> </p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalency. </li> <li>Successful completion of an accredited Electrical Lineworker Program. </li> <li>Ability to advance from an apprentice to a journeyman lineman through the TVPPA apprenticeship training program within 5-years of employment. </li> <li>Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. </li> <li>Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License. </li> </ul> <p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: </strong> </p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. </li> <li>Hand and arm dexterity for using hand tools to make connections. </li> <li>Ability to work in extreme weather conditions. </li> <li>Physical ability to perform heavy/manual labor. </li> <li>Ability to climb heights. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualified applicants </strong>should submit a resume by <strong>Friday, June 27, 2025 </strong>, to: </p> <p>CLEVELAND UTILITIES AUTHORITY<br />ATTN: HUMAN RESOURES<br />POST OFFICE BOX 2730<br />CLEVELAND, TN 37320 </p> <p>Or click <em><strong>APPLY </strong> </em> below. </p> <p><em>AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER </em> </p><br>recblid oirk86r9d9xyzr0his4m9bnxupwp2w<br>
