<p>Los Angeles County Department of Homeless Services & Housing</p><p>Location: Los Angeles County, CA</p><p>Salary: $82,490 – $111,168 Annually</p><p><br></p><p>The Department of Homeless Services & Housing is seeking qualified candidates to fill <strong>Accounting Officer II</strong> vacancies related to the homelessness crisis.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Some of our many benefits!</strong></p><ul><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage</li><li>Strong retirement plan and generous paid time off</li><li>Long term career growth across LA County</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Lead and oversee operations:</strong> Plan, assign, and evaluate the work of accounting and related functions, including budgeting, payroll, cashiering, and support services</li><li><strong>Advise on financial strategy</strong>: Consult with management on the financial impact of current and proposed activities and administer revenue-generating agreements</li><li><strong>Analyze and improve systems:</strong> Conduct cost and revenue studies, evaluate accounting procedures, and recommend and implement process improvements</li><li><strong>Ensure compliance and coordination:</strong> Interpret laws and regulations, support implementation, and coordinate activities across departments and stakeholders</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of 21 semester or 32 quarter units of accounting including at least two courses in advanced subjects such as cost accounting, governmental accounting, or auditing <strong>AND:</strong></li><li>One year of professional accounting or auditing experience at the level of LA County’s class of Accountant III, Intermediate Accountant-Auditor or Accounting Officer I.</li></ul><p></p>
