Job requirements
- Demonstrated experience in accounting roles, with practical exposure to financial processes and reporting.
- Strong organisational capabilities, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, along with hands-on experience using accounting systems such as Xero or similar platforms.
- Sound theoretical knowledge and practical application of accounting principles and practices, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is advantageous.
Job responsibilities
- Support the execution of accounting and financial administrative functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly management reports in line with established financial standards and reporting frameworks.
- Process and post journal entries to accurately record financial transactions and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
- Perform corporate credit card reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and aligned with internal policies.
- Reconcile credit card deposits and collaborate with relevant departments, including fraud or risk teams, to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Review expenses, internal transfers, and funding activities to ensure compliance with organisational policies and financial controls.
- Maintain accurate financial data within the ERP system, ensuring information is up to date and readily accessible for reporting purposes.
- Administer and monitor user access to banking platforms, including the issuance and control of corporate credit cards, in line with internal controls.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tracking of asset movements and records.
- Provide support in monthly and annual financial close processes, including reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting deliverables.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks, financial analysis, and reporting requirements as requested by the Financial Accountant or senior management.
